A magical start to 2025 for the Event Masters’ team

How better to ring in the new year than with an evening filled with great company, delicious food, and a touch of magic? Last Thursday, we gathered for our EM New Year’s Dinner at Gaston in Ghent. The theme? Masters Enchanted. And it certainly lived up to its name!

From the very first step onto the rooftop bar, the atmosphere was just right. Tasty canapés, drinks, and a cosy winter vibe set the perfect mood. But the real surprise came when Belle Perez was revealed as the secret special guest. In no time, the dance floor was packed – and it stayed that way until the early hours.

If this evening is a sign of what the new year has in store, we can only say: bring it on!

It’s starting to tingle… Snow Masters is coming!

The next edition of Snow Masters is just around the corner, and this year we are once again heading to Les Portes du Soleil and this already for the 30th time. Les Portes du Soleil which consists of Avoriaz, Morzine and Les Gets, a beautiful and vast ski area, is the ideal destination for families who want to enjoy an unforgettable winter sports holiday together. With its cosy atmosphere, fantastic slopes and snow guarantee, Les Portes du Soleil offers everything you need for a perfect trip. This year, everything revolves around the glamorous Studio 54 theme to enhance the aprés ski experience.

For those who already know Avoriaz, we have little to explain, the area is a paradise for any winter sportsman. But even those going there for the first time will quickly discover why this destination is so popular. Expansive slopes, atmospheric restaurants and bars along the routes, and all within a 15-minute drive of our familiar Hotel Alpina. Your children will also have the time of their lives in the Dutch-speaking ski lessons, where they will make new friends and be guided by experienced monitors.

A tailored winter experience

This month, we travelled no less than twice to beautiful Sölden in Austria for an unforgettable winter experience. While skiers enjoyed the slopes, a varied and impressive programme awaited non-skiers.

From an enchanting alpaca hike through snowy valleys to a breathtaking helicopter flight over the mountain peaks, the trip was packed with highlights. The culinary adventure took participants to the iconic Restaurant Ice Q, famous from the James Bond film Spectre. There, the Elements 007 Museum was also explored in style.

To get the full James Bond experience, the group flew the Elements 007 helicopter through the spectacular Ötztal valley, past impressive snow-capped peaks. And as if that wasn’t enough, a lightning-fast descent on a 7 km toboggan run provided an extra dose of adrenaline.

Values morning: great events start with strong values

What makes an event truly successful? It’s not just about flawless organisation or creative ideas; it’s about how you connect with people. That was the focus of our Value Day last week, where the entire team came together to reflect on our core values and how we put them into practice every day.

Our keynote speaker, Vincent Vermeulen from the School for Butlers & Hospitality, explored the theme “Hospitality as a Driving Force.” He demonstrated that true hospitality goes far beyond simply delivering a service. It’s found in the small details: paying attention, listening to what people really need, and going that extra mile. This builds trust and fosters strong, long-term relationships, both with clients and within the team.

A moment of reflection that reminded us once again: the best events start with people. And that’s something we continue to work on every single day.
