Beat the box is a mobile escape room. In 90 minutes, teams (or individual candidates) need to crack a series of codes. The only help available to them is inside a locked metal box. Only with teamwork and personal skills will they succeed in finally beating the box!

Another great way to test your candidates? The murder-mystery evenings that Event Masters organises. Le Château is one of these successful arrangements. Your candidates are invited to an exclusive dinner with a noble earl, count or countess. When they arrive at the castle, a confused butler opens the door. There appears to be a misunderstanding. The count was not expecting any guests this evening … Luckily, the invitees are allowed in. What they don’t know is that during the dinner, they will become entangled in a chilling murder mystery full of intrigue and betrayal.

Use this concept to recruit young potentials and students. Give them a tour of your company during the day before dining together with you and the other recruiters in the evening. It’s ideal for seeing how they respond to unexpected situations. Who takes initiative? Who stays calm? Who panics? And most importantly, who succeeds in putting all the pieces of the puzzle together to unmask the murderer?

Building Bridges is a challenging team-building exercise where teams each build a section of a bridge. They are given a building plan, but not the one for the section they have to build. Each team is both client and supplier and needs to brief the team supplying them. The bridge that’s eventually built needs to follow the overall plan, but also has to be designed with creativity. It’s important for the success of this team-building exercise that the communication, both internal and external, runs flawlessly.

Global innovation game – Are your candidates innovators?

Global Innovation Game is an activity that encourages creativity and innovation. Your candidates sit around a table. Using data sheets and communication, they try to come up with innovative ideas – without the help of any modern technology. In the first phase, the individual participants need to think of an idea to pitch to the other members of their team. Afterwards, as a team, they collectively choose the best idea. The candidate then pitches that to the other teams. The idea that eventually wins is the idea in which most money in invested.
